Project 1: Mobile Application Proposal
Project 1: Mobile Application Proposal
For this project, we need to create a proposal documentation to redesign an existing app that we find unsatisfactory in terms of user experience or interface design.
We have to find 3 app options first, and then decide on the final one from these three.
The 3 app options I chose are:
1. myCuaca
2. Coinbase
3. Secret Recipe MY

First Application Proposal (3 apps)Before proceeding to the final proposal, I consulted with Mr. Zeon and received approval to choose myCuaca as my final app option.
Final Proposed Idea
Category: Weather
Application: myCuaca
The home screen is blank at first, so I thought this was the design. However, when I allow location access, the current weather at my location then appears on the home screen.

REFLECTION
During the process of creating my mobile application proposal, I encountered many challenges. Initially, finding an app was already difficult since most of the popular apps had already been used by previous students. This made it hard to find new options. I had to keep browsing and scrolling through the App Store, looking for lesser-known or low-rated apps, which wasn't easy since the default lists typically show high-rated apps first. After finding three suitable apps, narrowing down the final choice for redesign was also tough, as they were all from different categories. I weighed my options and eventually chose the myCuaca weather app because it seemed more manageable for a redesign compared to the other two.
Working on the proposal took time because I couldn't simply write things down; I had to conduct research and use the app to better understand its strengths and weaknesses. Despite these challenges, I managed to complete the proposal on time and am now ready to proceed to the UX design phase.
