REFLECTION

Experience
As I reflect on the entirety of these 14 weeks and the three distinct tasks in this typography course, I find myself marvelling at the transformative journey I've undergone. Navigating through the tasks, I've traveled a fascinating path that has transformed my understanding of typography in design. Initially, I approached typography with limited knowledge and some concerns about its impact on my creative expression. However, the journey has turned me into someone who now deeply values the influence and importance of typography in design. As an introvert, I tend to be passive and hesitant to ask questions. I'm grateful for Mr. Vinod, who consistently took the initiative to identify my challenges and guide me with valuable feedback. I'm certain that this course has reshaped my perspective and honed my skills in the world of typography. It has unfolded a profound exploration of design for me, embracing both simplicities and intricacies.

Observations
Throughout the entire 14 weeks, my viewpoint on typography underwent a significant transformation. For me, design is not only limited to drawing anymore. I now see typography as a powerful aesthetic tool that enhances the quality of design. Also, I've become more attuned to the meticulous details of my designs, understanding that even the smallest nuances can significantly affect the overall message and aesthetics. Mr. Vinod's feedback consistently improved my outcomes, laying a strong foundation for aesthetically pleasing layouts with clarity and visual balance. Each task, from layout creation to font design, has contributed to a holistic comprehension of typography, transforming me from a novice to someone who values and respects the power of text in design.

Findings
My journey through this course has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on my design perspective. Looking ahead, I aspire to carry these valuable lessons into my future endeavours, constantly refining my skills and pushing the boundaries of creativity. I am grateful for the guidance, insights, and experiences gained throughout these 14 weeks, and I am excited to apply them in the thrilling journey that lies ahead in the realm of design.
