Today's lecture delved into the contrasting realms of Realism and Surrealism, and also Image manipulation using Digital Photography

Practical
Today's lecture explores the dichotomy between Realism and Surrealism. Our task involves image manipulation, where we'll take groups of pictures and seamlessly combine them to create a surrealistic visual composition.

2. Summary about my idea
My idea involves using unrelated objects found in my house as references. Here are the groups of objects:

#1: Hairbrush and Marker Pen - The hairbrush is used for grooming and the marker pen is used for writing or drawing. So, this pairing represents a blend of personal care and creativity.

#2: Golf Ball and Shower Gel Bottle - The golf ball is a sports-related item, and the shower gel bottle associated with personal hygiene. So, this would be an interesting fusion of leisure and cleanliness.

#3: Book and Tissue Pack - Books is typically linked to knowledge, and the tissue associated with hygiene. I’m pairing these just to suggest the coexistence of intellectual pursuits and everyday necessities is importance in our daily lives.

Tinted Brush

DESCRIPTION:
Meet “Tinted Brush,” where personal care meets creativity as the plastic bristles of a hairbrush magically transform into marker pens.

Imagine this: while you’re brushing your hair, you can also magically “dye away” those white hairs! So, why not add a touch of creativity as you brush your hair, turning it into a spontaneous salon session? With “Tinted Brush,” you can achieve a vibrant and polished look, all in one stroke!


Reflection
The exercise centred around image manipulation, requiring us to blend groups of pictures to create a surrealistic visual composition. As I combined images, I realised the power of altering reality to convey a different narrative. The merging of pictures opened up a realm of possibilities for artistic expression. Overall, this exercise not only enhanced my technical skills in image manipulation but also sparked my imagination, encouraging me to think beyond the conventional boundaries of photography.
