I decided to give my glasses a sunglasses look to complement the beach theme.

Continue adding the wave and trees elements.

For the background, I created a simple one in Illustrator. Initially, it was blue. I later decided to change it to purple and added a touch of yellow inside to enhance the vibrancy of the background.

After adding the background, I adjusted the tone by increasing the saturation a bit to bring more intensity and make it appear more vivid.

The tree's trunk looked a bit obstructive, so I removed the middle part of the trunk to highlight myself.

I chose to add tropical fruits, and initially, I selected 2 pineapples. However, the overall poster looked a bit lacking in intense colours, so I added pomegranate for its red hue.

This is a beach, so it must have sand. I initially placed the sand as a background, but it looked dazzling. Therefore, I decided to move it to the left corner.

Add a shadow to the pineapple to make it more realistic.

I searched for a green screen video of seabirds for later use in the animation and found a suitable one on YouTube. Since I also wanted to add seabirds to my poster, I took a screenshot of the video, but it looked pixelated. Therefore, I refined it to make it smoother.

After that, I import the green screen seabirds footage into After Effects. To remove the green background from the footage, first, select the green screen footage in the timeline, then go to the "Effects" panel, search for "Keylight" and click on it.

REFLECTION
Experience
Doing this project was like taking an adventure into expressing myself through digital art. First, I had to pick a theme that felt like "me". Figuring out what truly represented me took some time. After some thinking, I chose a beach theme because it matched my laid-back personality. Plus, I love and often go to the beach.
