Week 3
Class materials reflection
Storyboarding is like making a plan for a movie or animation.
Instead of just talking about ideas, we can first draw pictures
of each scene to show what will happen. So, everyone can
understand the story better before starting filming.
Moreover, storyboarding can ensure that everyone is on the same
page and working together towards the same goal. When everyone
understands the plan, it makes the movie-making process better
and smoother.
Furthermore, storyboarding also helps reduce risks and solve
problems. Filmmakers can fix potential issues early on before
they become big problems. This saves time and money and makes
the project more likely to succeed. Overall, creating a
storyboard is a must to make great movies.

Week 4
Class materials reflection
Filmmaking has three main stages: pre-production, production,
and post-production. Pre-production focuses on planning,
involving tasks like writing the script and casting actors.
Production is where the crew captures footage, realising the
director's vision. In post-production, raw footage undergoes
transformation into a final movie through editing, music, and
effects.
Every person in the production crew has their own role in
making a movie. The director leads the team alongside the
producer, cinematographer, and production designer to create
the film's look and feel. Meanwhile, the sound designer and
editor work behind the scenes to ensure the movie sounds good
and looks right.
Overall, filmmaking is all about teamwork and creativity, from
planning to the final touches, all done with lots of passion
and hard work.
